nothing.”

"You possess a potent force that you
either use, or misuse, hundreds of
times every day."
-J Martin Kohe
Excerpts from Og Mandino's book,
University to Success -
Chapter 12: "How to use your
greatest power to change your life"
"Those who fail, those who wallow in
self-pity, those who always complain
--according to Mr. Kohe-- do so
because they fail to use the greatest
power they possess, or they misuse it
with disasterous results that brings
grief to themselves and to those whose
lives they touch.
Since you, and only you, are in charge
of your mind, you also have full reign
over this great power, and by using it
wisely you cannot help but become a
better person, in your business and in
your personal life."
J Martin Kohe states in his book:
Your Greatest Power:
"You are the possessor of a great and
wonderful power. This power, when
properly applied, will bring
confidence instead of timidity,
calmness instead of confusion, poise
instead of restlessness, and peace of
mind in place of heartache.
...How many times have we had THIS
GREAT POWER right in our hands and we
threw it away, because we did not
recognize it? ...Millions of people
will continue to live plain, ordinary,
miserable lives because this GREAT
POWER escapes them and they never have
been able to catch up with it.
...THE GREATEST POWER THAT A PERSON
POSSESSES IS THE POWER TO CHOOSE."
CHOICES
that we make are powerfully driven
by one's attitude, and
strength of mind. Outcomes in life
should not be confused with, or
explained away as chance, fate, or
bad fortune.
It is true that the bad things
that happen to good people, often
cannot be known in advance.
However, while we may

have considerably more power to
manage the risks that we are
exposed to, than we may believe,
the real determination of the
outcomes of these events (i.e.:
negative or positive), is how we
subsequently internalize them, and
the choices we make from these
points onward. These choices are
what determines our ability to
learn, to grow, to rise above the
challenges and to move forward.
This is the growth that life can
give us if we can avoid focusing
on the negatives and, instead,
build positively from our life's
lessons. (Example:
"Man-in-Motion",
Rick Hansen,
who at age 15, was involved in an
automobile accident, that broke
his back, but has now turned that
personal tragedy into an
opportunity to raise close to
$200,000,000 for spinal cord
injury research, that will benefit
thousands of others for
generations to come.)
